Respiratory Therapist Travel Assignment – South Dakota\nGeneral Facility Information\nHospital Beds : 260–280\n\nDaily Census : 250–260\n\nScrub Color : Pewter\n\nFree Parking : Yes\n\nTraveler Requirements\nMinimum Experience : 2 years (1 year may be considered with strong experience and manager review)\n\nFirst-Time Travelers : Accepted upon manager review\n\nPatient Population\nTypes of Care : \n\nHighly Progressive / Acute Respiratory Care\n\nAdult, Pediatric, and Neonatal Critical Care\n\nGeneral Inpatient Respiratory Care\n\nNICU Coverage : Yes, if required by requisition (NRP certification required)\n\nRequired Certifications & Licensure\nRRT required (CRT may be considered based on experience)\n\nSouth Dakota RCP License (via SDBMOE.gov) – must be obtained before submission (process takes ~30 days)\n\nBLS & ACLS\n\nNRP if covering NICU\n\nEducation Requirement\nAssociate ’s Degree (AA)\n\nSkills Required\nCritical Care\n\nGeneral Respiratory Care\n\nSupport Structure\n24 / 7 Charge RT or Respiratory Clinical Specialist\n\nSupervisors, Manager, and Director always available\n\nTechnology & Equipment\nCharting System : EPIC (experience required)\n\nMedication Dispensing : Omnicell\n\nVentilators : Draeger V500, Savina 300, 3100A Oscillator, Servo-I MRI, Hamilton C1\n\nOther Equipment : \n\nResMed APAP, CPAP, Bi-level\n\nAirvo2 High Flow Devices\n\nCough Assist\n\nIncourage Vest\n\nABL90 Blood Gas Machines\n\nIPV\n\nPraxair iNO\n\nFloating & Coverage\nFloating : Yes, within hospital & Emergency Department\n\nNo floating to other facilities unless hired for multi-facility role\n\nCall Requirements\nHome Health : \n\nBusiness : 0800–1730\n\nCall : 1730–0800 (and weekends / holidays)\n\n1am –6am, 3 days per week\n\nScheduling\nWeekends : Every other\n\nCall : Based on facility and requisition needs\n\nHolidays : Required if within contract dates\n\nTime Off : \n\nUp to 7 days off\n\nFull week off requires contract extension\n\nNo RTO during Sturgis Bike Rally (first 3 weeks of August)
