Job descriptionYou will receive the following rates based on your assignment : In-Person Programs : $25- $27 / hr Plus : The opportunity to earn a program completion bonus of up to 10% of your total program earnings. Help close the opportunity gap and support urban students in reaching their full potential by providing academic assistance in both English and a second language. Work 10-35 hours per week, perfect for balancing studies, caregiving, or other commitments. Empower Students, Shape Futures As a Bilingual Education Champion, you'll provide one-on-one and small group tutoring in core subjects like Math, Reading, Writing, Science, Social Studies, and Regents exam prep. You’ll collaborate with teachers and school leaders to develop engaging, personalized learning strategies that help students thrive—while bridging language gaps to ensure every student has the support they need. Passion for Learning : Committed to supporting academic and personal success, especially for underserved and bilingual students. Fluent in both English and a second language, with the ability to provide academic support in both languages. Degree-seeking student or graduate with a minimum 3.0 GPA in Education or a relevant field. Available to work 10-35 hours per week at an assigned school (or virtual program) and participate in monthly training. Here's Why You'll Love This Role :
- About the Job : Tutors will be bilingual (Spanish) math tutors for students in grades 6-8.
- The tutors will support students with math concepts such as geometry (including area, surface, and volume), and algebra (ratios, proportions, percentages and problem-solving with various number types like negative numbers, fractions, decimals, and percentages).
The tutors will work Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 4 hours a day. Competitive Pay :
