Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Med Surg Discipline : RN Start Date : 12 / 08 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Travel PCU / Telemetry Nurse - 12 Hour Nights Location Local placements accepted. Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Shifts are 12 hours, with a weekend requirement of every other Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Floating may be required as needed, but typically, nurses are floated to their unit. Job Description The PCU / Telemetry Nurse will provide care for patients requiring cardiac monitoring and related treatments. The position necessitates a strong familiarity with cardiac drips and telemetry monitoring, ensuring patient safety and effective communication among the care team. Responsibilities Monitor and assess patients' vitals and telemetry data. Administer medications and IV therapies, including cardiac drips. Collaborate with the healthcare team to create and implement individualized care plans. Educate patients and families on health management and disease prevention. Document patient care accurately in the Cerner Corporation - PowerChart system. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification. Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification. NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification. Experience in a PCU or telemetry setting is required.
