    Summary

    We are seeking experienced, skilled Dental Assistants to join our team at Hawaiian Island Dental. Inthis role, you will play a vital part in supporting our dental procedures and enhancing the patientexperience in our welcoming office. We welcome trainees (no prior dental experience) who haveexperience in the following areas : CNA duties in-home or facility care, medical reception / records,veterinary care, laboratory, phlebotomy, pharmacy, hospital, financial or banking, sales and customerservice.

    Responsibilities

    Assist the dentist during various procedures and treatments.

    Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols.

    Take and develop dental radiographs as needed.

    Maintain accurate patient records and manage appointment scheduling.

    Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.

    Monitor patient vital signs during procedures as necessary.

    Ensure the dental office is organized and well-stocked with supplies.

    Qualifications

    Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or similar role in a dental, medical, veterinary or patientcare facility.

    Knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and instruments.

    Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and infection control standards.

    Ability to take accurate dental radiographs using 3D scanning technology is preferred.

    Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
