Key Responsibilities :
Conduct physical exams and gather medical histories to assess donor suitability.Build rapport with donors to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.Maintain confidentiality for both donors and staff.Educate donors about potential health hazards and provide both general health education and counseling for unacceptable test results.Evaluate and manage donor injuries and adverse events.Assess medical history and medications to ensure continued donor suitability.Assist in training new employees.Administer the Hepatitis Vaccine program for employees.Job Requirements :
Must be educated and currently certified / licensed as an EMT, Paramedic, or LPN according to state regulations. Current CPR certification is required.
Attributes Required :
Ability to work in standing and sitting positions for 2 to 4 hours at a time.Capability to bend and twist the neck for up to 1 to 2 hours per day.Frequent hand movements and the ability to perform precise coordinated movements.Occasional foot movements; ability to squat, crouch, or sit on heels as required.Light lifting of up to 15 lbs. with a maximum of 50 lbs.Essential hearing acuity and visual ability corrected to 20 / 30 in one eye and 20 / 100 in the other.Strong communication skills to convey information clearly and listen effectively.Ability to work independently with oral or written instructions.Thrive in a dynamic environment with varying demands.Comfortable relating sensitive information to diverse groups.Work is conducted in a plasma center with potential exposure to biological fluids and infectious organisms.Utilization of personal protective equipment required, including eyewear, garments, gloves, and cold-gear for exposure to temperatures below 32 degrees F in plasma freezers.Location : NORTH AMERICA : USA : TN-Memphis
