New graduate Engine Systems Engineers work to design, build, test, and refine hardware in a fast-moving environment, contributing to propulsion systems, mechanical components, test setups, and manufacturing processes. You'll collaborate across disciplines, learn rapidly, and see your contributions come to life in real hardware.

Role Overview

• Contribute to the design, analysis, and integration of engine and aircraft subsystems
• Build CAD models, assemblies, and drawings to support design, manufacturing, and assembly
• Support test planning and execution, including instrumentation setup, data acquisition, and analysis
• Develop and refine manufacturing processes, tooling, and work instructions for complex aerospace hardware
• Collaborate with propulsion, test, and manufacturing teams to ensure designs translate smoothly into hardware
• Troubleshoot issues during design, build, and test, driving solutions in real time
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly across multidisciplinary teams

Compensation

The Base Salary Range for this position is $67,000 - $84,000 per year. Actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Boom's total rewards package for employees. Other rewards may include long term incentives / equity, a flexible PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.

Start Date

This position is expected to start in early summer 2026 (May or June) to align with typical graduation timelines.
