Lead Software Engineer - Furnishing Platform

Your collaboration with Product, Compliance, Servicing, and Credit teams will be crucial in designing robust reporting systems. These systems play a vital role in delivering accurate and timely data from Affirm's financial products to Consumer Reporting Agencies.

What You'll Do

• Own and deliver strategic outcomes : Lead your team in defining and achieving quarterly and long-term goals that align with our company objectives. Guide engineers through uncertainties, providing clarity and direction.
• Shape architecture and technical strategy : Influence the design of large-scale data and backend systems across various teams, ensuring scalability and adherence to engineering best practices.
• Collaborate cross-functionally : Work with product, analytics, and design teams to define data-driven solutions, anticipate risks, and ensure that technical decisions align with long-term business goals.
• Champion operational excellence : Maintain high availability and reliability of data pipelines by implementing robust monitoring, alerting, and recovery strategies, driving improvements to reduce system fragility.
• Mentor and grow talent : Support engineers through mentorship and technical leadership, fostering a culture of ownership and continuous learning.
• Scale impact beyond your team : Document and share best practices, authoring technical proposals that elevate the entire data engineering community.
• On-Call Rotation : Participate in an on-call rotation as part of this role.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Pay Grade - N

Equity Grade - Spain 4

Employees new to Affirm usually start at the beginning of the pay range. We emphasize a clear and transparent pay structure based on factors such as location, experience, and job-related skills.

Base pay is part of a comprehensive compensation package, which may include monthly stipends for health, wellness, and tech spending, alongside 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental, and vision for you and your dependents. Additionally, employees may be eligible for equity rewards from Affirm Holdings, Inc.

Base pay range per year : 85,000 - 115,000
