Description :

This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in telemetry.

The nurse will be responsible for caring for patients on telemetry monitoring.

Patient ratios are 1 : 4-6.

Common patient diagnoses include post-surgical cases such as general, orthopedic, urological, and gynecological surgeries.

The role requires the ability to read telemetry strips, as RNs will validate and interpret these.

The unit is telemetry-capable with nurses responsible for monitoring patients remotely.

Nurses may float between various areas within their scope of practice.

Shifts are 12 hours long, with a requirement to work every other weekend.

Staff must be available to work during all holidays.

There are charge nurses and house supervisors available for support as needed.

Nurse aide support ratios may vary between 1 : 8 to 1 : 16.

Equipment such as vents, CPAP, and BiPAP systems will be utilized.

The role does not require call or standby responsibilities.

Navy scrubs are the designated attire for this unit.
