Position : Cook

Location : Honolulu, HI

Pay : $20 / hour + $250 bonus after working 160 hours

Experience : At least 2 years of experience working in a kitchen (restaurant or food manufacturing).

Education : High school diploma or equivalent required.

Type : Full-time; Contract

Schedule : Tuesday – Saturday, 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM

Staffing Solutions of Hawaii is seeking a Cook to join a growing and dynamic team!

Job Description :

• Wash, slice, and cook various produce, including taro, breadfruit, and potatoes.
• Operate and monitor machines used to wash, slice, fry, and salt produce.
• Open and control valves to pump preheated cooking oil into vats.
• Adjust burner controls to maintain proper cooking temperatures.
• Manage salt hoppers and apply seasoning as needed.
• Monitor flow of produce into vats and adjust levers for consistency.
• Stir or use rakes to ensure even frying and cooking.
• Observe product quality, including color and texture, during cooking.
• Maintain a clean and safe food preparation and cooking environment.
