Job description

BioPhase specializes in recruiting top talented professionals for Scientific communities. We are currently looking for an ONSITE Contracts Manager to work for a leading San Diego-based biotech company.

  • Applicants must be located and willing to work fully onsite in San Diego, CA.

Responsibilities :

  • Draft, review, and manage SOWs, MSAs, and NDAs, ensuring proper version control and compliance.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new business requests, working closely with business development teams to translate opportunities into detailed SOWs.
  • Ensure terms and conditions for SOWs are kept up-to-date, reflecting the company’s latest policies and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with legal teams to negotiate and finalize agreements, assisting commercial representatives in client discussions.
  • Develop strategic pricing models that align with business objectives and oversee the contract lifecycle to drive optimal outcomes.
  • Maintain and manage contract templates to ensure consistency and alignment with company standards.
  • Oversee the contract database, providing internal stakeholders with real-time access to contract status and documentation.
  • Work to resolve contract-related issues, applying your expertise to minimize risks and support business interests.
  • Partner with leadership to align contracting strategies with broader company initiatives.
  • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Science, or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus.
  • 3-5 years of experience in contract management or a related field, ideally within the life sciences or healthcare industry.
  • Strong knowledge of contract law and the ability to navigate legal language.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to simplify complex topics.
  • Proven ability to negotiate and influence decisions within a business environment.
  • Proficient in contract management software and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
