Bilingual Environmental Health & Safety Manager - Juarez, MX (commute from El Paso, TX)

Join Sheakley as a Bilingual Environmental Health & Safety Manager to support an industrial facility project in Juarez, MX. This role is ideal for professionals experienced in mechanical, electrical, and civil safety who can lead compliance efforts across a diverse workforce.

The Bilingual EHS Manager will oversee safety compliance, enforce OSHA and Mexican labor standards, and manage daily site safety activities to ensure a safe and efficient project execution.

Job Title : Bilingual Environmental Health & Safety Manager

Location : Juarez, MX (commute from El Paso, TX)

Start Date : ASAP

Type : 1099 Contractor

Duration : 6-9 months

Compensation : $50 / hour, Per Diem : $125 / day, Pay Frequency : Weekly

Schedule : 40 hours / week, Monday-Friday, First Shift

Project Scope :

The project involves construction and industrial operations, including oversight of mechanical, electrical, and civil contractors onsite, monitoring of heavy equipment, confined space activities, hot work, and high-voltage electrical tasks, industrial facility construction, utilities tie-ins, and process equipment installation.

Responsibilities Include :

The Bilingual EHS Manager will conduct daily safety walks, hazard recognition, and site audits, lead toolbox talks, orientations, and safety training sessions, complete daily safety reports, incident investigations, and compliance documentation, and coordinate with subcontractors to ensure adherence to safety protocols.

  • Qualifications :

    OSHA 30 (Construction & General Industry), valid Mexican work visa, minimum 5 years of EHS or safety management experience in a manufacturing or industrial plant setting, strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and Mexican labor / safety standards, bilingual English / Spanish for workforce communication, workers' compensation coverage that extends to Mexico, and authorized to work in the U.S. with valid documentation for daily border crossings.

    Preferred Credentials :

    OSHA 510 (Construction Standards), OSHA 500 (Trainer Authorization), competent person training in confined space, electrical safety, and working at heights, CHST or CSP designation.

    Knowledge Base :

    Strong working knowledge of industrial and construction safety standards with emphasis on electrical, mechanical, and civil construction scopes, ergonomics, machine safety, and industrial hygiene practices, hazard communication, SIMOPS coordination, and PPE programs, U.S. and Mexican regulatory requirements for cross-border operations, safety reporting, incident investigation, and training delivery.
