Machine Operator (Packer)

Information about the Company: Cenveo is a leading North American manufacturer of envelopes. Immediately hiring for

2nd and 3rd shift Machine Packers for our envelope manufacturing facility in Kent, WA.

Machine Packer Pay/Schedule:

• Pay Range $17.66 - 19/hr depending on experience + shift premiums
• 2nd shift premium $0.75/hr and 3rd shift premium $1.50/hr
• 2nd shift 2:30pm – 10:30pm / 3rd shift 1030pm-630am; Training is on 1st shift
• Schedule: Mon – Fri; Sat required during busy season/business needs.

Machine Packer Responsibilities & Daily Duties:

• Loads paper on to automatic hand-fed or web envelope folding machines; pack finished product.
• Inspects quality of envelopes, labels cartons, reports variances to key personnel.
• Checks current production orders/schedules to determine daily production requirements.
• May be required to do rework on finished product; Cleans up work area during/end of shift.
• Other duties as assigned/required.

Machine Packer Physical Requirements & Work Environment:-

• Ability to keep up with a high-speed delivery output in a standing position for a full shift.
• Mental alertness; Ability to step up/reach overhead/manually feed paper into machine.
• Ability to lift up to 55 pounds; Manual dexterity required to grasp objects.
• Exposure to arm/wrist fatigue; Exposure to noise, hazardous materials (inks, solvents, glue, etc.).
• Must be able to work in hot or cold weather.

Requirements

• The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months of relevant work experience in a production environment.
• Quality inspection skills and ability to measure/read a ruler.
• Basic math, verbal/written communication, computer skills.
