Mayersohn Law Group, P.A. is seeking a highly skilled, Family Law Paralegal with 3+ years of Florida Family Law experience to join our dynamic, fast‑growing Fort Lauderdale team. In this full‑time, on‑site role, you will support our attorneys through every phase of family law litigation, including drafting pleadings, coordinating discovery, preparing financial disclosures, managing case files, and assisting with trial preparation.

Litigation & Document Preparation

• Draft, prepare, and revise legal documents, including complaints, petitions, answers, motions, pretrial orders, interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, discovery requests and responses, affidavits, legal briefs, correspondence, and financial disclosure documents.
• File motions and coordinate with process servers to ensure timely service.
• Conduct legal research and organize findings to support motions, hearings, and case strategy.

Discovery, Case Management & Organization

• Maintain highly organized, accessible case files and discovery records in both digital and physical formats.
• Analyze, track, and maintain systems for managing discovery, deadlines, and case milestones.
• Calculate and calendar all deadlines to ensure the firm never misses a deliverable.

Client Interaction & Communication

• Meet with clients to gather case information, collect documentation, and address procedural questions.
• Provide consistent, professional updates to ensure clients feel supported and informed.

Trial Preparation

• Prepare and organize trial exhibits, witness lists, and supporting materials.
• Assist attorneys with witness coordination, client preparation, and courtroom logistics.
• Conduct research on legal articles and case law relevant to trial strategy.

Administrative & Technology Responsibilities

• Utilize legal tech tools, including Clio, Family Law Software, legal research databases such as Westlaw and LexisNexis, Microsoft Office, digital file management systems, and timekeeping and billing platforms.
• Perform administrative tasks such as scanning, copying, printing, and maintaining organized digital and physical files.

• 3+ years of Florida Family Law Paralegal experience in a law firm setting.
• Completion of an ABA‑approved paralegal certificate program (Associate’s degree or proprietary school program).
• Strong proficiency with legal research databases, Microsoft Office, case management, and timekeeping systems.
• Exceptional organizational skills, time‑management abilities, and attention to detail.
• Ability to independently identify tasks, take initiative, and manage competing priorities.
• Strong communication skills and a client‑service mindset.
• Comfort using standard office equipment (scanner, copier, printer).

Preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in Law or a related field.
• Experience preparing financial affidavits and disclosures using Family Law Software.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
