The City of Tukwilais seeking SeasonalMaintenance Workersto join our team!

The Public Works Department creates a foundation for high quality of life in Tukwila by protecting the health and safety of residents visitors and businesses. Most of the work is performed outdoors in all types of weather conditions. Occasionally they are required to respond to emergencies after hours in addition to their normal shift. They operate trucks flatbeds commercial vehicles and specialized heavy equipment.

This is a seasonal/temporary position and will not exceed 1040 hours in a 12-month period. These positions are also not eligible for health benefits or retirement. Hours are expected to be 6:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. on a 4-10 schedule and could include weekends hours could vary depending upon business needs.

Wage:$23.00 per hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Positions in this class typically require: climbing balancing stooping kneeling crouching crawling reaching standing mobility pushing pulling lifting fingering grasping feeling talking hearing seeing and repetitive motions.

Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Education Experience and Other Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
(A) Must possess a valid Drivers License or the ability to obtain one prior to employment;
(B) Must be a minimum of 18 years old;
(C) Must be able to work with limited supervision.

Desired Qualifications:
(A) Flagging certification card;
(B) CPR/First Aid Card.
