As a Security Professional - Armed Government Patrol in Staunton, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents. Position Type : Full Time

Pay Rate : $15.50 / Hour

Job Schedule :

DayTimeWed : 06 : 00 AM - 06 : 00 PM

Thur : 06 : 00 AM - 06 : 00 PM

Fri : 10 : 00 AM - 06 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities in a government location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the site and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and promote a secure environment.
  • Monitor and report any unusual activities or security-related concerns to the appropriate authorities or management.
  • Assist visitors and employees by providing information and direction as needed within the location.
  • Follow all protocols for armed security-related posts, including proper handling and maintenance of assigned equipment.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and / or emergency responders as required during incidents or emergencies.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports on all incidents, observations, and patrol activities during the shift.

  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
