Job description

Oceana Restaurant is seeking a Catering and Event Coordinator to join their events team.

Summary :

The Catering and Event Coordinator will assist with all apsects of event planning, ensuring a seamless experience for all clients.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Working closely with the Director of Events in planning a diverse range of events in Oceana’s multiple private rooms, café / bar area, and West Park Beer Garden
  • Creating banquet event orders, menus, place cards, and other event paperwork as needed
  • Answering calls and emails from prospective clients
  • Providing site tours as needed
  • Handling the administration for outside catering orders
  • Assisting with office supply ordering
  • Additional tasks as needed
  • Qualifications :
  • Education :

Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Experience :
  • 1-3 years of hospitality experience preferred

  • Skills :
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in an extremely fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in OpenTable and Microsoft 365 Suite
  • Experience with high end clientele
  • Compensation :

  • $25 per hour ( generally a 40 hour work week from 10AM-6PM Monday-Friday, but might vary due to holidays etc.)
