JOB INFORMATION: Job Title: Assistant Manager of Facilities - Electrical

JOB OVERVIEW: Under the supervision of the Manager or designee, the Assistant Manager of Facilities - Electrical supervises electrical skilled tradesmen in construction, installation, maintenance, and repairs to various electrical wiring systems, controls, machinery, equipment, and structure at all terminals. Provides support to Brunswick as necessary. Coordinates or assists in inter-and-intradepartmental projects and activities.

JOB DUTIES: - Performs various clerical duties. Prepares timesheets, work orders and lift station reports, both weekly and monthly, and various other reports pertinent to electrical work.
- Schedules, plans and estimates work: prepares inspection sheets and maintains a current backlog of projects that require attention.
- Works in the field with the employees as much as possible and maintains adequate tools, equipment, etc., necessary for quality job performance and performs physical tasks as required.
- Established in conjunction with Manager of Facilities & Contracts and employee a course of action to correct deficiencies as related to performance and quality of scheduled work.
- Ensures that all electrical work assigned and performed on GPA property is in compliance with current electrical requirements.
- Reviews and comments on the electrical systems and equipment involved in capital projects and renovations.
- Coordinates electrical installations with local utilities.
- Evaluates contractors productivity level and make necessary recommendations.
- Prepares and adheres to preventative maintenance procedures. Takes a proactive approach to keep all facility electrical systems and equipment in optimal condition.
- Performs regular inspections to eliminate down time and avoid costly breakdowns, accidents, and failures.
- Will be required to measure contractors in basic electronic theories and practices requiring the highest skill and knowledge.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Knowledge of maintenance work, burning, welding, millwright, and mechanical skills.Ability and willingness to climb and work at high elevations required.Ability to deal effectively and professionally with the GPA staff on all levels as well as customers and the general public required.Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
Experience
- 10 years experience in all types of electrical maintenance work. Required
Education
- Preferred Four-year college degree in engineering or related field or a Trade certification
Licenses & Certifications
- Electrical Contractors License Required
- TWIC - Transportation Worker Identification Credential Required
- Driver's License - Valid state driver's license Required
