  • Key Responsibilities :
  • Clinical Duties (50%) :
  • Provide patient care in a Psychiatric Emergency Department, Mental Health Outpatient Clinic or Inpatient facility for those with a primary mental health or substance use need.
  • Conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, and manage psychotropic medications
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care
  • Maintain compliance with DBHDS and DNV standards
  • Leadership Duties (50%) :
  • Oversee medical staff administration and quality improvement initiatives
  • Lead strategic planning and implementation of clinical programs
  • Enhance Epic EHR workflows and data analytics
  • Mentor providers and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and drive performance metrics
  • Qualifications :
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD)
  • or
  • Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
  • in Psychiatry –
  • Required
  • Board Certification in Psychiatry, Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine –
  • Required
  • Licensed or eligible to practice in Virginia –
  • Required within 60 days
  • Valid DEA registration –
  • Required at hire
  • CPI Advanced Skills –
  • Required within 14 days of hire
  • MBA, MHA, MMM, or MPH –
  • Preferred
  • 7–10 years of clinical experience with increasing administrative responsibility –
