The Role
As one of the foundational members of our Engineering team, you will architect and develop petabyte-scale data pipelines for our fast-growing fleet of production robots. For a startup of our size, we collect data at a scale few companies have seen. We are builders. And, this is a career-defining opportunity to work on one of the hardest technical problems not only at our company, but in modern computing.
Working directly with our founding team, this role is based onsite at our San Francisco headquarters.
What You’ll Do
Architect (from scratch!), build and maintain highly-available, robust, petabyte-scale data pipelines
Provide technical leadership and advise leadership on technology strategy and decision-making
Collaborate with ML Engineers to develop blazingly fast online RL systems at scale
What You'll Bring
7+ years of software development experience
Strong technical foundation and breadth with experience architecting terabyte-scale data pipelines
In-depth, hands-on development experience building and optimizing petabyte-scale data pipelines
Proficiency programming in Golang, Java, Scala or Python. Rust is a big plus!
Strong sense of ownership, initiative, problem solving and analysis
Effective communicator and collaborator with the ability to work closely with ML Engineers
Compensation
$200,000 - $275,000 annual salary. We offer competitive compensation, including equity and comprehensive benefits.
