Job Description :

Microchip's Discrete Products Group (DPG) offers one of the industry's most comprehensive power and RF / microwave discrete semiconductor product portfolios. The DPG encompasses two business units, the Power Discrete & Modules BU and the RF / Microwave Discrete BU. Markets the PDM & RF / MW Discrete BU's address include : alternative energy, industrial, medical, defense, commercial aviation, communications, embedded systems, motor control, power solutions, sensors and security. Microchip is planning to fill the following position with a talented, creative and motivated individual. A generous package is offered to all regular full-time employees. Microchip DPG has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Senior Equipment Technician-Calibration. The right candidate will be calibrating the equipment used in the production of semiconductors. Will maintain calibration, PM, and asset systems or any other duties, as directed.

Requirements / Qualifications :

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Metrology, calibration of manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to calibrate and perform repairs on test equipment and production equipment.
  • Ability to organize and maintain a calibration system for calibration and preventive maintenance of equipment.
  • Ability to work from schematics, mechanical drawings, or written instructions.
  • Ability to interface with auditors.
  • Experience in the use of multimeters, oscilloscopes, other test equipment for calibration, calibration standards, soldering irons and mechanical tools.
  • Familiarity with ISO-1725, MIL-453662A desired.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
  • Ability to use MS Office.
  • Ability to interface with parts or service vendors
  • Trade school or post high school certificate training in electronics desired.

The hourly pay range for this position, which could be performed in Massachusetts, is $24.52 - $ 58.35.

  • Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location, skills and experience.
