As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned shelter locations to help create a secure environment for all occupants. Your presence and routine patrols will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and / or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and maintain a visible security-related presence.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist in maintaining order within the location, particularly in areas designated for shelter services.
  • Support the enforcement of site-specific policies and procedures to help to deter unauthorized access and / or disruptive behavior.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
