Maintenance Manager

We are partnering with our manufacturing client in Sussex County, DE on their search for an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead mechanical and electrical maintenance activities in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for maximizing equipment uptime, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards, and developing a skilled maintenance team capable of supporting electrical, mechanical, and process system requirements.

Key

Lead and coordinate all maintenance operations, ensuring adherence to OSHA and safety standards

Oversee installation, repair, and troubleshooting of pumps, motors, conveyors, fillers, and automated equipment

Provide expertise in process systems including pneumatics, hydraulics, power transmission, instrumentation, and PLC / DCS troubleshooting

Manage preventative maintenance programs and documentation through CMMS

Collaborate across departments to resolve equipment issues and support production efficiency

Maintain a safe, clean, and organized maintenance shop and equipment

Mentor and train maintenance staff to expand technical capabilities

Develop and manage maintenance budgets, including capital projects focused on safety and productivity improvements

10+ years of industrial maintenance experience with strong electromechanical skills

Expertise in pumps, pneumatic / hydraulic systems, gearboxes, VFDs, motors, and automation

Hands-on experience with preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and fabrication

Ability to lead projects from concept to completion and manage budgets

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with all levels of plant personnel

Welding certification, boiler / hot oil system knowledge a plus

Must have 20 / 20 or corrected 20 / 20 vision
