Roles & Responsibilities

The Lead Financial Analyst will :

  • Lead small analyst team providing continuous proactive service & support to Project Leaders and Department Managers
  • Provide full-lifecycle financial management, and end-to-end business support of direct work programs
  • Lead financial oversight and analysis for projects operating under Time & Materials and Firm Fixed Price contract structures
  • Ensure accurate processing and documentation of financial reporting / transactions
  • Develop and maintain relationships within Program Finance to bolster support system for Project Leads and Department Managers
  • Utilize best practices regarding tools, technology, and standard financial processes
  • Recommend and drive operational improvements in the day-to-day execution of the Program finance function
  • Execute the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing and reporting of internal and external financial information
  • Prepare and deliver necessary supporting analytics to assist leadership in decision making
  • Ensure strong operating financial controls and adherence to FAR, CAS, and MITRE finance policies
  • Support leadership on financial performance management and ad-hoc projects
  • Interface with internal sector business customers to identify critical needs and provide accurate and timely information
  • Collaborate with Treasury and Strategic Pricing to establish and maintain timely accounts receivable and sustain positive cashflow

Basic Qualifications

  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelors degree; or 6 years and a Masters degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
  • 4+ years of finance and / or accounting experience within the US Government (Federal) practice of a professional services firm
  • Experience in financial management of government contracts, including cost tracking, revenue recognition, invoicing and margin analysis for T&M and FFP activities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with Data Visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet government suitability requirements.
  • This position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint and / or Cognos Analytics preferred.
  • Passion, energy, and enthusiasm in learning and applying through creative problem-solving.

  • Mindset of continuous improvement with the capacity to drive change.

  • Ability to handle multiple concurrent work streams while maintaining high quality output.
  • Salary compensation range and midpoint : $115,000 - $144,000 - $173,000 Annual
