Position Summary
This position is part of the NBA Emerging Media group which focuses on identifying, creating, distributing and publishing content for the NBA's social and digital platforms and its many domestic and international partners throughout the world. Major Responsibility :
Create and publish daily games for NBA Play, the league’s new home for interactive games, as well as interactive experiences across NBA products
Create and manage a daily content calendar that highlights original ideas for interactivity, engagement and gamification to support the league’s storylines, tentpole events
Actively participating in content planning for the NBA's digital and social platforms
Stay on top of gamification trends to help inform the NBA's content creation strategy for fan engagement
Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders to develop unique and bespoke digital experiences
Leverage analytics and data driven insights to regularly inform interactivity and gamification strategy
Required Skills / Knowledge :
Deeply knowledgeable and passionate about the NBA and its players, coaches, and teams
Strong knowledge of the NBA’s digital products including the NBA App, NBA ID, NBA League Pass
Strong knowledge of basketball stats / analytics and the rules of the game
Strong knowledge of NBA sneakers, fashion, and music culture
Strong knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, GIPHY, and TikTok, and how the NBA uses each platform
Exceptional writing skills, as well as the ability to execute editorial judgment
Ability to work on deadline and handle multiple tasks at once with a precise and detail-oriented approach
Willingness to work a flexible schedule as this position will include nights and weekends based on the NBA calendar
Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
Mobile apps, mobile gaming experience a plus
Education :
Bachelor's Degree in Communications or related field preferred
Salary Range : $2,307.69 / biweekly
