Principal Backend Engineer

A company is looking for a Principal Backend Engineer to drive the evolution of their platform and product.

Key Responsibilities

Own the architecture for large-scale, complex product projects

Implement critical features and systems, ensuring their ongoing health, scalability, and efficiency

Mentor and develop other engineers while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive product direction

Required Qualifications

10+ years of experience as a software engineer building large-scale distributed backend systems

Expert-level proficiency in Go and experience with AWS, Kafka, GraphQL, Kubernetes, and Datadog

Experience operating at a product / user scale with millions of users

Experience modernizing legacy code bases

Familiarity with modern AI tooling to accelerate development efforts
