SUMMARY

The Process Engineer at De Nora Water Technologies (DNWT) serves as a key technical contributor in the design, development, optimization, and troubleshooting of water and wastewater treatment product lines. This hands-on, detail-oriented role requires a strong foundation in process engineering and a commitment to continuous improvement. The position involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams—including Sales, Proposals, Engineering, Project Management, Quality, Supply Chain, and Product Management—as well as direct interaction with customers and suppliers to support projects from initial concept through start-up/commissioning and operation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Develop cost-effective, technically compliant process solutions using DNWT product offerings.
  • Assist in reviewing client specifications and contribute to bid proposals and pricing strategies, in coordination with the Sales and Proposal teams.
  • Prepare and review process engineering deliverables, including PFDs, P&IDs, control narratives, and O&M manuals during the detailed engineering phase, working closely with Project Engineers and Engineering team.
  • Perform and verify process calculations based on influent water quality, operating parameters, and site-specific conditions to optimize system performance.
  • Lead pilot studies from planning through execution and closure, in coordination with Product Manager, Manufacturing Engineers, Project Manager, Field Service personnels, and clients.
  • Support system testing, start-up, commissioning, and performance audits.
  • Contribute to R&D initiatives to enhance existing technologies or develop new products, working closely with the New Product Development & Product Management team.
  • Troubleshoot field performance issues and provide technical support to end-users.
  • Represent DNWT in technical meetings with clients and vendors.
  • Participate in HAZID and HAZOP studies, value engineering sessions, and design reviews.
  • Conduct risk assessments, process audits, and performance diagnostics to identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with customers, contractors, and internal teams to resolve operational issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare and deliver technical reports and presentations.
  • Perform process simulations, modeling, and data analysis

All employees are expected to actively support the organization's Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems in accordance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards. This includes participating in training and awareness programs, adhering to established EHS procedures, and promptly reporting any hazards, incidents, or non-conformities. Employees are encouraged to engage in safe and environmentally responsible work practices and contribute to the organization's commitment to continual improvement in EHS performance.

This role includes responsibilities that support the organization's compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards. • Hands-on knowledge of water and wastewater treatment systems, particularly those offered by DNWT.
  • Familiarity with national and international engineering codes and standards.
