How you will change lives

Join our dedicated team at US Renal Care as a Patient Care Technician (PCT), where you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate care and support for patients experiencing renal failure. You will work under the guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse (CN) to deliver high-quality dialysis treatment.

What you'll be doing

Patient care. You will directly interact with patients, ensuring that they receive a safe and comfortable environment during their dialysis treatments. Your key responsibilities will involve gathering vital patient statistics before and after treatments, initiating and monitoring treatments, overseeing the termination of treatment, and collecting blood samples as per physician orders.

Technician Duties. You will prioritize safety and quality by preparing and maintaining dialysis machines, cleaning and disinfecting them after each treatment, performing safety checks, and documenting quality control results to meet all necessary protocols and regulations.

Safety and Quality. Utilizing appropriate safety measures, including personal protective equipment, you will adhere to all relevant company policies, state, and federal regulations while working closely with the Charge Nurse. You will also participate in ongoing staff meetings and continuing education opportunities to enhance your skills.

The Dialysis Patient Care Technician position is for our Uptown Naples Clinic, located at 2700 Immokalee Rd, Naples, FL 34110.

What we're looking for

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A genuine passion for healthcare and patient care.
  • Previous experience in healthcare settings, particularly in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA is highly beneficial.
  • Comfort in handling and mixing acids and bicarbonate according to established protocols.
  • Ability to differentiate between all primary colors.

Other requirements

  • Successful completion of the USRC training program approved by the Medical Director, including demonstrating proficiency in hemodialysis within the first 8 weeks of employment.
  • CPR certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire or as mandated by state regulations.
  • Patient Care Technician certification must be secured through a state or nationally accredited certification program within 18 months of hire, with ongoing maintenance of certification status.
