Semi-flexible schedule to assist balancing work and life priorities

The Route Relief Sales Driver for the Distribution Department in all branches, except Newport News, is responsible for covering open positions / shifts within their assigned branch and training newly hired associates.

• Provides on-the-job training for all new Route Sales Drivers and Shipping and Receiving Associates in all aspects of the job.
• Sets an example for other team members by their appearance, punctuality, leadership and attitude towards the company and customers.
• Maintains a high level of familiarity with all routes, customers and warehouse protocols.
• Stays informed of all programs, policies and product changes regarding routes and communications with staff.
• Fulfills departmental requirements in providing work coverage and administrative notification during periods of personal illness, vacation, or personal leave.
• Assist in other areas as needed.

High School Diploma or G.E.D.

Active CDL Class A or B license

Must be at least 21 years old as routes will cross state lines

The work environment may require working in the cooler room with varying degrees of temperature and may include contact with water or dairy liquids.

Exposed to a noise level of 90 decibels. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate / high. Wet / slippery work conditions.

Ability to tolerate frequent temperature changes, hot and cold environments, inside, outside, refrigerated areas, and coolers.
