Financial Analyst
Minimum qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience. Seven years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree. Preferred qualifications : Experience in an investigative environment including, but not limited to business analytics, management consulting, product and operational analytics. Excellent business judgment and leadership skills, with the ability to communicate with clarity and engage with an executive management team. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to put structure to ambiguous problems and drive insights. Excellent investigative and technical (e.g., Financial Modeling, SQL, Python, R, Data Viz) skills working with large volumes of complex data.
Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to take on big picture challenges. As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you'll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes. You'll provide senior level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $137,000-$201,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities : Provide executives (business and finance VPs / managing directors) with clear insights into drivers of business growth, risks, and opportunities. Lead data driven decision making on investment strategies for products, identification of key market drivers for business generation and business profitability, and resource allocation. Analyze financial results and key performance metrics on a periodic basis to support decision-making. Build and maintain necessary data infrastructure to support analysis and financial models. Engage with cross-functional and product finance teams to drive scalable analyses, tools and insights.
