Job Description : The Business Development Specialist will be responsible for business development activities related to our US-based Release Systems portfolio of products within L3Harris' Tactical Airborne Systems (TAS) Division. The focus of this position is domestic pursuits related to carriage and release systems on airborne platforms. Direct responsibilities will include directing and leading customer interactions, strategy development, business development, market assessments, business case development, business capture, capture gating process, pipeline growth, business account management including discretionary spending budgets, CRM management, and development of 1-yr, 3-yr and 5-yr business plans. The job requires the staff member to have strategic market development acumen, ideally demonstrated by prior new product introduction(s) or platform design-in experience. The position also requires the staff members to have effective communications skills, be self-motivated and organized. Some sales cycles may be very long and involve broad high-priced systems requiring Executive approval from the Customer and the Company and so he / she will be expected to provide regular updates to senior sales / operations staff concerning account issues, financial status, etc.
