We are seeking a PET Acquisition Developer to join our team. This role will involve designing, developing, and optimizing software applications for PET (Positron Emission Tomography) acquisition and CT / MR systems within a fast-paced, agile development environment. Job Description :
As a PET Acquisition Developer , you will be responsible for defining, developing, and evolving software used in advanced imaging systems. The PET Acquisition Developer will collaborate closely with engineers, scientists, and application experts to translate complex imaging and reconstruction needs into software components that deliver accuracy, speed, and scalability.
You will participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), from requirements gathering to system integration and validation, while leveraging modern tools and frameworks in Linux, C, Python, and distributed computing.
Key Responsibilities :
Define, develop, and evolve software for PET acquisition and CT / MR systems in an agile development environment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers and scientists, to translate high-level imaging requirements into component-level software solutions.
Design and implement data management and distributed processing systems for high-performance imaging platforms.
Plan and execute integration activities at component, subsystem, and system levels.
Document software designs, perform verifications, and participate in validation testing as needed.
Apply software development methodologies such as Agile, Lean, XP, and CI / CD.
Write high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code in C and Python following software security and scalability best practices.
Implement and optimize core algorithms, data structures, and system performance parameters.
Utilize configuration management tools such as Git to maintain version control and code integrity.
Support ongoing improvements to processes, coding standards, and team efficiency.
Collaborate in performance tuning, troubleshooting, and resolving technical challenges.
Participate in system-level testing and validation for imaging workflows and data processing modules.
The PET Acquisition Developer will play a critical role in developing next-generation medical imaging systems, ensuring software performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards. The PET Acquisition Developer will also contribute to process optimization, automation, and innovation across the imaging software stack.
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
5+ years of experience in software development, preferably in imaging or embedded systems.
Proficiency in C programming and object-oriented programming in production environments.
Experience in Linux-based programming on x86 systems.
Familiarity with MATLAB or equivalent modeling tools.
Experience with MPI , OpenMP , or other parallel computing frameworks.
Knowledge of configuration management tools such as Git .
Experience in high-performance software design and system architecture.
Strong communication and collaboration skills in a global, cross-functional team environment.
