Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive, academic health system in central New York and major teaching affiliate of Columbia University, is seeking an Ophthalmologist to join our staff.

Join an established group of 6 Ophthalmologists and 3 Optometrists.
Job Description & Responsibilities
- High-volume cataract surgeon—general ophthalmologist.
- Specialists in surgical and medical retina, cornea, pediatrics, and glaucoma; sub‑specialty interest in glaucoma, oculoplastics, cornea, and cataract surgery would be welcome.
- The support staff is well trained and experienced in both clinic and operating room.
- On call every 6th weekend and rarely busy.
- Salary Range : $433,000 – $525,000. Compensation is based on qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training and industry standards.
- Bassett offers physicians an incentive plan with no earnings cap; individual performance and productivity can significantly enhance compensation within the first year.
- Residency stipend up to $40,000 for up to 18 months prior to graduation.
- Sign‑on bonus up to $100,000.
