Duration : 6 month contract
Location : Roanoke, VA - onsite
Overview :
This role works closely with operations leadership and production teams to improve efficiency, reduce open order age, minimize past dues, and decrease customer escalations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Serve as the point of contact between planning and customer service teams for assigned product lines
- Manage escalations to minimize interruptions
- Process cancellations and provide order status updates
- Oversee order management, identifying efficiencies in assembling similar products in batches
- Prioritize assembly workflows and production benches
- Communicate material-related issues to planning teams, including :
- Missing or defective materials
- Quality concerns
- Inventory discrepancies and cycle count adjustments
- Bill of Materials (BOM) issues; collaborate with planners and engineering to resolve backflushing or configuration errors
- Participate in continuous improvement meetings (Gemba) and track metrics related to open orders and production performance
