Description
POSITION SUMMARY : Is responsible for daily clinical
operations of the Critical Care Unit, Telemetry. Coordinates all
work and call scheduling efforts of the CVIR nurses. Is accountable
for all orientation and training of the associates regarding best
practice process and procedures. Develops and implements best
practices from across CHRISTUS Health within CV Service Line that
will assist the organization in meeting or exceeding productivity,
caregiver engagement, financial, quality and patient loyalty target
outcomes. Establishes infrastructure required to communicate with
multiple physicians and staff to meet the needs of the
Cardiovascular Service Line. Works directly with the Clinical
Director of Critical Care Services to expand and enhance all
service lines as appropriate.
This position
requires the full understanding and active participation in

Requirements
DUCATION :
Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing. BSN
preferred.
CERTIFICATION / LICENSES :
R.N. with current New Mexico State license. BLS, ACLS and
other certification as applicable to area. National certification
in area of expertise is preferred.

EXPERIENCE :
Minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical role in
progressive care services.Two years progressive management
experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
Multiple simultaneous activities of patient care. Must be able to
handle emergency / crisis situations, prolonged, extensive or
considerable standing / walking. Has knowledge of and uses good body
mechanics. Occasionally positions, pushes and / or transfers patients
or equipment. Hearing and visual acuity within normal limits. May
be required to lift, push, pull or carry up to 50 lbs. Subject to
stressful professional relationships. Working hours vary, with
flexibility due to unexpected changes in schedule and emergencies.
