About The Position We are seeking an experienced Radiation Oncology Physician Assistant for a 20-day locum tenens assignment in New York. This opportunity starts on Jan 2, 2026, with orientation followed by clinical work beginning Jan 5, 2026. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 : 00am to 6 : 00pm, providing day shifts in a dynamic oncology setting. Job Details Location : New York Start Date : Jan 2, 2026 LOA : 20 days Provider Type Needed : Radiation Oncology Physician Assistant Schedule : Monday-Friday, 08 : 00-18 : 00 Responsibilities and Duties Assess, diagnose, monitor, and manage care for patients with cancer and other benign or malignant tumors and diseases Promote health and protection from disease within the scope of supervising physician Perform arterial puncture and blood gas sampling Provide debridement and general care for superficial wounds and minor superficial surgical procedures Implement therapeutic interventions for specific conditions as appropriate Insert and remove non-weighted nasogastric or oro-gastric tubes Order and interpret diagnostic tests and therapeutic modalities, including laboratory tests, medications, hemodynamic monitoring, IV fluids, EMG, ECG, and radiologic studies such as ultrasound, CT, MRI, and bone scans Perform incision and drainage of superficial abscesses Perform urinary bladder catheterization Conduct venous punctures for blood sampling, cultures, and IV catheterization Complete death certificate protocols Remove arterial catheters, central venous catheters, and chest tubes Perform fine needle aspiration and punch biopsy of skin Additional Information Must hold current New York PA license Required certifications : Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Experience in radiation oncology preferred Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
