L4 Lead Deployment Technician

Our client, a leading telecom provider, is in need of an L4 Lead Deployment Technician for a 12-month contract opportunity. This individual will be traveling up to 90% to lead and perform telecom system installations for Service Providers nationwide. This technician will be completing hands on technical work, and supervising installations crews and subcontractors to make sure that projects meet all specifications and industry standards.

Required Skills :

• 6+ years of telecom Central Office installation experience and 3+ years of leadership experience directing teams of field technicians
• Perform software upgrades, circuit modifications, testing, troubleshooting and live power work
• Maintain accurate drawings, job logs and reports
• Strong knowledge of fiber / copper / coax installation, cabling, grounding, and equipment standards.
• Experience with DC power systems, BDFB, batteries, rectifiers, and hot / live work.
• Familiarity with Telcordia GR-1275 and AT&T TP-76300 standards.
• Ability to interpret drawings, resolve technical issues, and ensure compliance.
• Proven leadership in supervising and mentoring field technicians.
• Experience with Ciena products (6500 series, Waveserver, CESD, etc.) and third-party rectifiers / fuse panels.
