In this vital role, the RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate personalized care plans, supervise non-RN personnel, and may take on responsibilities as a charge nurse or psychiatric emergency nurse when authorized. As a Registered Nurse, you will report to the PCS Manager / Clinical Coordinator and function as an integral member of our healthcare team, delivering excellent clinical care and outstanding customer service. Your responsibilities will include assessing, planning, implementing, and supervising patient care according to hospital protocols, while also overseeing non-RN personnel tasks and activities with delegation authority.\n\nResponsibilities include : \n
- Ongoing assessment of the patient's physical and psychosocial condition throughout their care continuum.\n
- Development and documentation of individualized care plans that reflect patient problems and interventions, involving the patient, family, and healthcare team in the process.\n
- Implementation and coordination of the care plan in collaboration with the healthcare team.\n
- Evaluation of care plan effectiveness, patient response, and readiness for discharge; revising plans as necessary, and making referrals when needed.\n
- Planning and providing educational opportunities based on the patient and family's individual learning needs.\n
- Assuming roles such as psychiatric emergency nurse, triage nurse, charge nurse, and preceptor as authorized.\n
- Meeting performance expectations in customer service, teamwork, resource utilization, and personal development.\n
- Handling additional responsibilities as directed to ensure departmental efficiency.\n
- Recognizing personal scope of responsibilities and demonstrating competency in clinical skills while implementing appropriate emergency nursing actions.\n\nQualifications\n\nEducation : Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred. Proficient in electronic patient records and internet-based literature searches.\n\nExperience : Preferred experience in emergency departments.\n\nLicensure : Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Connecticut.\n\nSpecial Skills : Current BLS required upon hire; ACLS and PALS needed within 6 months; CPI required within 1 year; TNCC and CEN are strongly preferred.\n\nYNHHS Requisition ID : 162297
