As RELCO expands its service operations in New England, we’re seeking a seasoned Service Project Manager to lead customer-facing projects and drive execution excellence.
Position Summary
The Service Project Manager oversees the full lifecycle of construction projects—from pre‑construction and buyout through final closeout. As the primary liaison for clients, internal stakeholders, and subcontractors, this role ensures clear communication, strict quality control, and compliance with safety standards. The Service Project Manager will develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and contracts, and will handle change orders, RFIs, and submittals with responsiveness. Regular site visits, proactive customer engagement, and fostering relationships with past and current clients are key. The ideal candidate is rigorous in cost control, strategic in managing progress, and strong in reporting and stakeholder alignment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all phases of project management : pre‑construction, procurement, execution, and closeout
Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and subcontractor agreements
Serve as the central point of contact for clients, internal stakeholders, and subcontractors—ensuring continuous, clear, and effective communication
Perform regular site visits to verify progress, quality, and compliance with safety protocols
Manage change orders, RFIs, and submittals in a timely and efficient manner
Monitor and control job costs, track forecasting, and adhere to progress metrics
Conduct project meetings, deliver progress reports, and escalate issues when necessary
Keep management informed of project status, risks, and mitigation strategies
At closeout, ensure all deliverables, documentation, punch list items, and warranties are finalized
Qualifications & Skills
Experience : Minimum of 5 years managing projects in the electrical construction industry
Project Background : Proven track record in leading complex custom home or service projects from inception to completion
Communication : Ability to clearly and effectively translate technical information to clients, team members, and stakeholders
Technical Expertise : Strong familiarity with electrical construction methods, materials, building codes, and standards
Supervisory Skills : Experience coaching, mentoring, and managing project teams and subcontractors
Software Proficiency : Proficient with MS Office; experience with Spectrum, or analogous construction accounting / ERP software
Financial Acumen : Competence in cost monitoring, forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting
Leadership & Negotiation : Able to lead with authority, influence decision-making, resolve conflicts, and motivate teams
