Controls Engineer

About the Role :

To ensure the uptime, reliability, and continuous improvement of CNC and automated manufacturing systems through expert-level troubleshooting, control programming, and hands-on support.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following :

• Troubleshoot and repair CNC electrical / control issues (boards, drives, HMIs, relays, etc.).
• Write, modify, and optimize PLC ladder logic (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi).
• Program and support robotics systems (Fanuc, Kawasaki, Yaskawa).
• Configure and troubleshoot HMIs, VFDs, and I / O networks (Ethernet / IP, DeviceNet, Profibus).
• Integrate automation into machining cells and support new equipment installations.
• Act as a bridge between maintenance and engineering teams.
• Support continuous improvement and automation expansion initiatives.
