Heavy Civil Project Manager
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex civil construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roadway, bridge, utility, or large site development work, along with the leadership and technical skills needed to manage personnel, budgets, schedules, and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead all phases of project management from pre-construction through closeout.
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, cost controls, and progress tracking.
- Coordinate closely with Superintendents, Engineers, Estimators, and field teams to ensure safe and efficient execution.
- Review and interpret plans, specifications, contracts, and submittals to ensure compliance and constructability.
- Manage subcontractor procurement, contract negotiations, and ongoing vendor relationships.
- Prepare RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and other project documentation.
- Monitor project performance, production rates, and financial metrics to ensure profitability and schedule adherence.
- Conduct regular site visits to review progress, safety, quality, and adherence to project plans.
- Lead progress meetings with owners, DOT representatives, municipalities, consultants, and other stakeholders.
- Solve field challenges through effective communication, planning, and resource coordination.
- Ensure compliance with company safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications :
510 years of proven project management experience in heavy civil construction.Strong background in roadway, bridge, utilities, earthwork, or DOT projects.Ability to read and interpret civil plans, specifications, geotechnical reports, and contracts.Proficiency with project management and scheduling software (P6, MS Project, HCSS, Procore, etc.).Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Strong financial acumen and ability to manage budgets and cost controls.Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.Apply now for the next step in your Heavy Civil Project Manager Career!
