Job description11 / 10 / 2025 – 06 / 2026 6–8 shifts per month, mix of day and night shifts Patient Demographics : Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics Patient Volume / Census : Average 15–20 patients per shift; up to 25 patients during peak seasons Admissions : Yes Phone Consults : Yes Case Mix : General Emergency Medicine across all age groups No. of Beds in Department : 11 Trauma Level : Adult Level IV EMR System : Epic Office Equipment Available : Standard ER equipment Specialty Backup Available : RT, Psych, Teleintensivist, Ortho, General Surgery, OB / GYN, CRNA, occasional mid-levels Support Staff Available : Yes Reason for Coverage : Supplemental / Ongoing Coverage Hospital Privileges Required : Yes Temporary Privileges Available : No Credentialing Timeline : 60–90 days Fingerprinting : Required, results typically within 48 hours before privileges granted Holidays Paid by Client : Observed holidays (specific list not provided) Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance : Malpractice covered; flights not covered, only local providers considered General Emergency Medicine procedures across all age groups ACLS, ATLS, and PALS (or CALS) competency required Licenses : Active Minnesota license required Board : Board Certified in Emergency Medicine DEA : Required Certifications : ACLS, ATLS, PALS (or CALS) Experience : Community site emergency medicine experience preferred Other Qualifications : Proficiency with Epic EMR preferred Provide 12-hour clinical coverage in the Emergency Department Manage single coverage ER for all patient age groups and acuities See an average of 15–20 patients per shift, with potential peaks up to 25 Collaborate with support staff, specialists, and tele-intensivists as needed Perform emergency procedures as clinically required Maintain compliance with credentialing, privileging, and hospital policies
