Position Overview

The Senior Tax Manager will oversee the tax compliance and reporting activities of the organization. This role is responsible for ensuring accuracy in tax filings, optimizing tax strategies, and providing guidance on tax-related matters to internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in tax management and a strong accounting background.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns.
  • Develop and implement tax strategies that align with the organization's goals.
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for tax savings.
  • Provide expert advice on tax planning, risk management, and compliance issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and transactions from a tax perspective.
  • Manage and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; Master's degree or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax management or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
  • Proven leadership and managerial skills with experience in mentoring teams.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Benefits

    $145,000-$185,000 / year salary
