Bridge Inspection Team Leader / Project Engineer
Fickett Structural Solutions, Inc. is looking for an experienced Bridge Inspection Team Leader / Project Engineer with 4+ years of experience to assist with our field inspections, reporting activities, load ratings, and structural design. POSITION OVERVIEW
Coordinate, manage, and lead inspection teams performing structural inspections of bridges, culverts, ancillary structures, dams, and buildings throughout the United StatesCreate detailed and professional reports based on the inspection findings and complete the report entry into DOT-specific databasesAssist in design and load rating calculationsAssist bridge owners with their bridge program and maintenance needs, including the design of repairsProvide mentorship / leadership for entry-level engineersTravel for out-of-town work (which will require consecutive overnight stays)QUALIFICATIONS : Education and Certifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET Accredited UniversityRegistered Professional Engineer in Tennessee, Oregon, Washington, or Wisconsin (or ability to obtain licensure through reciprocity within 180 days of hire)Meet NBIS Qualifications for a Bridge Inspection Team Leader for Routine and NSTM InspectionsSPRAT and / or IRATA Certification, preferredPrevious Work Experience and Skills
4+ years of experience in bridge inspectionsField experience, particularly with National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS)Experience with SNBI conversionsPreferred computer skills :Microsoft Office
BluebeamMicroStation, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and / or RevitState Bridge Databases (Assetwise, AASHTOWare BrM, etc.)Experience with load rating analysis software and finite element modeling is also valuablePhysical and Personal Requirements
