  • Job Summary

    The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the frontline of diagnostic services , delivering expert blood collection and ensuring patient comfort. Operating under supervision, the PSR I performs specimen collection with professionalism and accuracy while maintaining strong communication and data tracking in a clinical environment.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Collect clinical blood samples following established protocols.
  • Prepare specimens for lab testing with proper documentation and verification.
  • Foster a welcoming, professional environment for patients.
  • Maintain cleanliness, safety, and HIPAA compliance throughout daily operations.
  • Document procedures accurately and in real time.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to adjust to weekend, holiday, or overtime needs.
  • Required Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience (1+ years preferred).
  • Proficient in pediatric and geriatric phlebotomy.
  • Strong data entry and computer skills.
  • Customer service experience in clinical, retail, or service environments preferred.
  • Nice-to-Have Experience

  • Medical assistant or paramedic background.
  • Experience floating between multiple collection sites.
  • Required Skills

  • Competency in venipuncture and capillary collection
  • Independent and reliable decision-making
  • Adaptability in fast-paced environments
