Corrections Officer Washington County, located in West Bend Wisconsin currently has a great opportunity as a full-time Corrections Officer within the Washington County Sheriff's Office. Under the general direction of the Corrections Administrator, Lieutenant, and Shift Sergeant, selected candidates will perform work involving the care and custody of inmates within the Washington County Jail. Responsibilities include, supervising inmates within established policies and procedures, maintaining discipline, enforcing rules and regulations pertaining to the facility and maintaining detailed daily Jail activity reports, monitoring inmates' scheduled work, court, and medical appointments.

Qualifications :

• Must be a citizen of the United States.
• Must be 19 years of age.
• A High School Diploma or equivalent.
• No felony or serious misdemeanor convictions.
• Maintain good physical condition with weight proportioned to height.
• Possess a valid Wisconsin driver's license with vision correctable to 20 / 20.
• The ability to distinguish colors and the ability to detect varying sound levels.
• While on -duty or representing the Office in any official capacity; visible tattoos will be in good taste and will not be offensive.
• Successfully pass an occupational lift test with a minimum requirement of 75 lbs., audiogram and drug screening prior to employment.
