Job Details :

• Work 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts (overtime billed after 48 hours on 4x12 schedule)
• Night shifts, weekdays, every other weekend required
• Float assignments required - must be willing to float to Stepdown Unit and may float to ED / MedSurg to care for ICU patients
• Holiday coverage required within contract
• Patient ratios of 1 : 2-3
• 3 years critical care experience preferred (will consider strong candidates with less experience)
• Travel experience preferred
• Strong neuro experience required (post-neurosurgical, EVD, and stroke)
• Must have experience with ventilators, IV drip titration, telemetry monitoring, conscious sedation, dysrhythmia and emergency management
• Required certifications : BLS and ACLS via American Heart Association, NIHSS
• Must be EPIC proficient
• VA or Compact license required in hand at time of submittal
• Must pass EKG testing with 80% or higher (one attempt only, no remediation)
• 3 hours of pre-start modules required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from facility
• No license or background hits accepted
• Cannot accommodate PAPR - no fit test issues accepted
• Care for patient populations including neurosurgical and post-stroke, respiratory failure, renal failure, post-surgical, trauma, sepsis and MODS, heart failure and post-cardiac cath patients

The hospital offers extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretaries to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
