Salary :

Zenlayer Inc. is looking for Internet Data Center (IDC) Engineers / Technicians to station at its data center located in Downtown Los Angeles. The job requires physical strength and shift flexibility to accommodate full IDC service coverage.

Duties & Responsibilities :

• Strong working knowledge with servers and network hardware / components, copper and fiber infrastructure installations and testing, data center product support applications, software (Windows, Linux, SSH, RDP, Putty, etc.) configurations and data center infrastructure management (DCIM) related tools.
• Complete cabling and installation in server, router, switch according to work orders as well as MACs (Moves / Adds / Changes) orders in designated data centers, including devices receiving, labeling, racking, powering and network connection, configuration, troubleshooting and break-fixing.
• Maintain a safe and secure operation environment by reporting any violations to the direct supervisor, adhere to security and safety of data protection protocols, error logging practices and support operating procedures.
• Maintain asset management and compliance with audit, daily log tracking, fulfilling documentation, retention practices and inventory checking.
• Provide smart-hands assistance at various sites within specified SLA (Service Level Agreement) response time.
• Provide status reporting regarding data center service availability, performance, and capacity utilization.
• Coordinate equipment / material receiving, shipping and RMA processing support when required.
• Provide general cleaning on raised floor, cabinet / rack exterior surfaces, work benches and other areas as needed on a regular basis.
• On-call duties as needed. Traveling for on-site service support or deployment when needed.
