Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma experience and a current NH or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

  • Position is based in a hospital operating room with 26 high-tech suites
  • Provides both inpatient and outpatient surgical care
  • Care for patients across all age groups : neonate, pediatric, adult, and geriatric
  • Surgical specialties include ENT, general surgery, orthopedics, plastics, urology, gynecology, ophthalmology, oral surgery, neuro, robotics, vascular, cardiac, and thoracic procedures
  • Night shift schedule : 7 : 00 pm to 7 : 00 am
  • On-call required for 4–5 shifts per 13-week contract, which may include 12-hour shifts or be on-call, during day or night hours
  • Role involves providing perioperative care for diverse surgical cases
  • Work in a technologically advanced, multi-specialty OR environment
  • Must be prepared to take on-call shifts as scheduled
  • No local candidates are permitted per the 75-mile radius rule

    • Requirements

  • Active NH or compact RN license required and must remain valid throughout assignment
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma OR experience within the past 2 years
  • Must have experience with a wide variety of surgical procedures and patient populations
  • Local candidates residing within a 75-mile radius are not eligible
