Based in Chicago, Illinois, HowardSimon Retirement is a large independent TPA with recordkeeping and advisory capabilities that offers integrated retirement, payroll, and HR solutions through a tech-enhanced service delivery model. HowardSimon is an operating partner of Strongpoint Partners, a leading tech-enabled financial services retirement platform backed by Shore Capital Partners (SCP).
Position Summary
The Retirement Plan Implementation Specialist plays a key role in managing the onboarding and offboarding of retirement plan clients while overseeing daily operations related to investment change requests and enrollment materials. This position ensures seamless transitions, high-quality service delivery, and compliance with regulatory standards. The Implementation Specialist will coordinate cross-functional activities and contribute to process improvements in a fast-paced Third Party Administrator (TPA) environment.
PLEASE NOTE : This is a fully remote position and can be performed from anywhere within the United States; however, due to the primary location of our headquarters, preference will be given to those in the Chicago area and able to work on a hybrid schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee the onboarding process for new retirement plan clients, ensuring all setup documentation, plan specs, and data transfers are accurate and completed on schedule.
Manage offboarding of terminated plans, ensuring all final reports, plan balances, and compliance requirements are completed accurately.
Oversee the processing of investment change requests (e.g., fund lineup changes, mapping strategies).
Manage the creation and distribution of enrollment books and plan participant materials.
