OR Tech Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of experience as an Operating Room Technician, Surgical Technologist, or OR Tech in a hospital or surgical setting

Experience in General OR, First Assist, or Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) preferred

Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred

Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented clinical environment

Strong communication and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities for Operating Room Technicians

Assist surgeons and surgical teams during operative procedures in the operating room

Prepare and maintain a sterile field before and during surgery

Ensure all surgical equipment and supplies are available and functioning properly

Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and respond promptly

Support patient safety and infection control protocols at all times

Collaborate with nurses, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care
